The shop on the Rue Saint-Joseph

Sujin and Pierre started Tea Repertoire in 2017 and moved it to Carouge in 2019. Sujin is a certified tea sommelier, and the selection reflects it: matcha, green, oolong, black, white, puerh and infusions, chosen leaf by leaf rather than assembled into a house range. Thirty-four Great Taste awards have followed since the move.

Matcha, in the cup and in the tin

The matcha is ceremonial grade and can be drunk there or taken away, which is the practical difference between this and a shop that only sells tins. If you are buying to make it at home, this is the counter where someone will tell you which one suits how you actually drink it.

The tasting classes

The workshops run monthly on a rotating theme and last about two hours, working through award-winning leaves and top-grade matcha with the person who chose them.

Whichever kind of tea drinker you are

Curious and starting out, or already weighing your leaf — both are served without ceremony. Open Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 to 19:00.
